A special report is a brief document business women can use to highlight a focused topic area through internet marketing. The report can range from one page to 30 pages. After that you are starting to write an ebook. You write a special report for a variety of reasons including to use as a marketing tool for your business. This article gives seven ways to use a special report as a marketing tool for the savvy business woman.

1. Highlight Services: Write your special report to promote your business or services and to highlight a list of the services you provide to benefit your clients. Give a brief explanation of each service, emphasizing how it adds value to your clients. Even though you are using the report to market your business be sure to make the focus of the report how you will serve the needs of the end user.

2. Viral Promotion. Use the report as a free giveaway that becomes a viral report on your website. A viral report is one that is freely distributed online with the hopes that others will share it with their mailing list and friends. Be sure to put links back to your site in the report.

7. Promote Big Event. A special report is a great way to promote an upcoming workshop, teleseminar or product launch. The special report will be the teaser copy for the bigger event. Give people just enough to keep them intrigued about what they will learn if they purchase your actual product or event. Provide real information but don't giveaway the real information that you will provide after the launch.
