Many people don't realize the importance of running background checks on others. Businesses, for instance, don't always see the point of conducting criminal background checks on employees before hiring them. They mistakenly think it will cost them a lot of money and time to dig deep into each employee's past. Unfortunately, they're only setting themselves up for a lot of harm.

There are a number of things that can go wrong if employers don't protect their companies by doing background searches on employs.

* What if a company mistakenly hires a registered sex offender? The company putting the other employs, especially the women, at risk. It will increase the chances of law suits being filed against the company for failing to protect their employs.

* What if an employer hires someone who has a criminal record for stealing? Obviously that person may steal money and equipment from the company. The company would probably save a lot more money in the long run by conducting criminal background checks first!

* What if a company hires a new driver who has been arrested on DUI offenses in the past? This can potentially cause a lot of problems, as well.

It's also possible to do background searches on FBI records. Searching FBI files is an excellent way of conducting a background check on a person. No employer in his or her right mind would want to hire someone who's had problems with the FBI before! Thanks to programs like Net Detective, it's possible to find out about people and their background history.

When it comes down to it, performing thorough investigations on an individual's background history makes employers seem much more professional. Conducting criminal background checks on every employ gives more integrity and credence to companies. It doesn't cost much at all, just a small membership fee for *unlimited* access. The money that companies will save by protecting the good, hard working employs from people with criminal backgrounds will be well worth it!
