If you have a job, you need to budget carefully with your salary. Don't spend your money on unneccesary things. Go the bank that provide you the highest interest and open up a savings account and treat it as a bill. Deposit the same amount in it every end of the month and forget that it is there. Start small and every year increase your deposit. Soon it will be a habit with you to save and not a burden. If you are interested in investing, it will be better to invest some of your money since it can increas you total revenue more.
